Design Leader

 

Ron Schafer founded Schafer Design in 2012 after twenty-five years of practice in architecture and urbanism. Ron holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Louisiana Lafayette. Ron has worked closely with Gino Rossetti of Rossetti Associates and Jon Jerde of the Jerde Partnership – internationally celebrated architects and urban designers known for their fearless grasp of the art and business of architectural design, and for the place-making sensibilities that have invigorated urban environments throughout the world. Major projects in Ron’s portfolio include: El Monte Station, El Monte, California (AIA Next LA award 2010); Jin Tang Professional Housing, Chengdu, China (AIA Next LA award 2011), Rinku Town, Osaka, Japan; Jiangwan New Town, Shanghai, China; Long View Mountain, Dalian, China and Peacock Lake Mixed-Use Destination, Beijing, China.
